Ria Ideta is one of the world’s most renowned Marimbaphone artists and interprets Anselm Kreuzer’s contemporary compositions with great vividness.
The marimba is known as one of the most expressive instruments for film and TV productions. Especially whimsical characters, humour, but also dramatic situations are perfectly matched with its sound. In addition, the marimba can be blended with dialogue without obscuring the human voices. Until now, however, the selection of adequate tracks has been quite limited. On Marimba Emotions, this versatile instrument is backed with delicate electronic sounds and real strings in order to fully support the emotions and warmth it radiates. The positive response to this honest way of recording is already evident: Even before the CD is finished, some works have already been used for TV programmes.
