Born 1979 in Wiesbaden, Germany. Started his musical education at the renowned boy´s choir “Kiedricher Chorbuben” in 1986. Piano lessons since the age of six and later on lessons in guitar, bass and drums followed by frequent performances for several bands and musical projects. Studied piano, saxophone, composition and musicology at the conservatory in Mainz (Johannes-Gutenberg Universität Mainz). From 2002 to 2008 he worked for the German broadcasting stations ZDF, 3sat and Kinderkanal as a music consultant, sound designer and music editor. With his production company “Skygate Productions” Michael composed and produced many scores, songs and commercial jingles for several broadcasting stations (ZDF, Kinderkanal, HR Television, HR3 Radio…) and companies (Sennheiser, BASF, German Red Cross, Jamba, Primagas…) He also wrote the scores for a wide variety of short movies including a new soundtrack for the historical silent movie ““La vie et la passion de Jesus-Christ” (Nominated for the film music award at the international 4FF film festival 2006 in Bozen/ Italy). Besides working as a composer, producer and arranger for audiovisual media, Michael also performs as a live musician and creates ‘live soundtracks’ for theater shows.
