Christian Bruhn is one of the most successful composers and producers in Germany. Born in 1934 near Hamburg he studied music before launching his career as an arranger and producer with Special Records. Later he founded his own production company together with Thomas and Peter Meisel. During the 1960s, Bruhn wrote countless hit singles for Schlager stars such as Conny Froboess, Katja Ebstein, Mireille Matthieu and Dafi Deutscher. He also composed music for TV (e.g. Captain Future) and promotional jingles. As board member and chairman of GEMA and as vice president and president of CISAC he defended his profession’s interests. For his artistic work, Christian Bruhns has received numerous awards.
