Anselm C. Kreuzer was born in 1973 in Hamburg. Since his childhood he has been deeply devoted to music. At the age of nine he began to play the cello, at the age of twelve he started to compose. Kreuzer studied musicology, dramatics and phonetics at the University of Cologne. In 1999 he graduated with a master’s degree and then gained his Ph.D. on the subject of film music. Since 2000 he has been a freelance composer for advertisement, TV, audio-visual media as well as CD productions. Since 2002 Kreuzer has been sharing his knowledge with students at the University of Cologne, the film school of Munich and the University of Applied Sciences Cologne. Since 2003 he is committed as a volunteer for the audio sector of Eyes & Ears of Europe. In addition, he has repeatedly been a member of the jury for the international Eyes & Ears Award.
In the position of music supervisor, Anselm Kreuzer has been part of the UBM Media creative team for many years. Our library contains a great number of his compositions which are played in the media worldwide.
