The minimum wage is rising
On January 1st, 2022, the statutory minimum wage will rise from € 9.60 to € 9.82. It will be increased again to € 10.45 in July 2022. 21% of German employees worked below the low-wage threshold in 2021. The new government wants to raise the minimum wage to a total of € 12.
