Every year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world. In 1981 The UN General Assembly has declared this a day devoted to strengthening peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. It also encourages nations to focus on education and public awareness of peace-related issues. For International Day of Peace 2022, the theme is 'End Racism. Build Peace'.
