If the piano at Lyon station could speak, it would perhaps tell of fleeting encounters. With travelers who pause here briefly, more or less talented young pianists, sentimental elders, professional players and amateur musicians. The waves of the lake gently lap against the shore. It is a balmy summer night and the reflection of the moon in the water creates the illusion of two earth satellites. Calyre, harp, omnichord and piano come together here to create a warm soundscape that suggests authenticity and security for arthouse films and sophisticated documentaries.
This piano composition is as gentle and light as the feathers that give it its name. Playing sounds and the warm tone provide authenticity and closeness. Neutral to subtly optimistic scenes in films or documentaries thus take on a natural, individual touch.
The machine is probably in a somewhat cloudy mood. Her monologue sounds restrained to playful, perfectly represented by the old-fashioned and futuristic sounding, slightly droning sounds of the monochord.
The pedal noises of the piano, the backward effects and gentle kalimba interludes open up a world of imagination. Dreamlike, surreal, but never threatening, the acoustic elements combine to create an increasingly complex web of sound. Childhood memories: a paper house on the kitchen table, made with grandparents on a rainy Sunday. The windows and doors painted with crayons bring color to the afternoon and when the sun dries the streets outside, there is still time for an evening stroll through the village together.
A piano melody dances on fluffy clouds between dream and reality. Individual drops of water tumble to earth, a flock of migratory birds forms up for the journey south.
